July 22, 2017
On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee of 2017 SOGHIN conference, I warmly welcome you to Ekiti, the fountain of knowledge. The conference has been designed to feature a pre-conference workshop in basic and advanced diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy for medical and surgical gastroenterologists, resident doctors and practicing pathologists.
The theme for his conference was carefully chosen to evaluate gastrointestinal malignancies in Africa using the past and the present to project into the future. For the first time in the history of SOGHIN, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) has endorsed our program, to this end a whole day is dedicated for the ASGE Postgraduate Lecture Series to be anchored by the ASGE sponsored International Faculty and renounced Prof of Therapeutic Endoscopy from Chennai, India.
There will also be parallel sessions for nurses in order to add maximum value to their participation. The meeting promises to be great, not only in its scientific content but in limitless opportunities for networking and collaboration. Our team of resource persons is formidable. I encourage you to take full advantage of this rare event to improve your practice, make new friends, engage in more fruitful research and visit some sites of importance in the state.
